At Yamamotoya, we pride ourselves on using the finest local ingredients.
Our menu features locally caught fish and crab, top-of-the-range Tajima beef, and craft beers from our own microbrewery, ensuring that our guests can enjoy the finest delicacies of the Kinosaki-Tajima area.
As a 15-room ryokan, we don't need to prepare your meals in advance.
Instead, we cook fresh dishes like tempura at the appropriate time, based on the guest's dining progress.
We believe that serving food at the correct temperature and with perfect timing is the best way to satisfy our guests.

Matsuba Snow Crab -
The King of Winter Delicacies
And fresh seafood from the Sea of Japan.
Each year, the Matsuba Snow Crab fishing season begins on November 6th, allowing crabs to be landed at 5 designated ports in the region. We offer a full course meal that includes genuine Matsuba snow crab. The crabs come with an identifying tag that endorses them for quality and region.
We also procure fresh seafood from the Sea of Japan throughout the four seasons, so please enjoy our fresh sashimi and tempura dishes as a rare treat for the senses.
Yamamotoya Micro-Brewery
- Authentic Craft Beers -
At Yamamotoya, we run our own micro-brewery, utilizing the pure water and clean air of Tajima to create tasty craft beers. In total, we produce four types of beer, each with different tastes and aromas designed to match local ingredients, including a red beer that was specifically designed to pair well with local crab dishes.
We invite you to try the beers after taking a bath or with your dinner to enjoy the variety of flavors on offer, from fruity beers to full-bodied beers with a punch, all made from 100% malted barley.
High-Grade Tajima Wagyu Beef
Tajima beef is prized for its high degree of marbling, which offers a succulent texture and unique flavor.
Indeed, Japan's top wagyu brands, such as Kobe beef and Matsusaka beef, all trace their origins back to Tajima cattle.

Our breakfast is designed to be healthy, incorporating plenty of local ingredients to give you a refreshing start to the day.
Vegetarian & Special Meals
For vegetarian guests who are also pescatarian, we can serve fish dishes instead of meat dishes.
If you are not able to eat seafood, then unfortunately we cannot accommodate you. In that case, we recommend that you book a reservation package that doesn't include meals, and then eat at Gubi-Gabu or other local restaurants that cater to vegetarians.
